Success story · Apartment community · Installed December 2025
Remote camera access for a four-building apartment community.
An apartment management company needed help with persistent loitering, package theft and littering. The hardest part was connecting the cameras: there was no practical way to cable the locations together, no security office, and nowhere suitable to install a conventional ISP internet connection. NSI designed the system around powered light poles, wireless links and an independent LTE connection.
NSI Security — equipment supplier: Security and networking equipment supply, system design, technical guidance and remote monitoring of wireless AP signals.
JG Security Services — installation partner: Client coordination and on-site installation.
The challenge
No cable route. No place for a conventional internet connection.
The property management company contacted JG Security Services for help with ongoing loitering, package theft and littering. A conventional wired camera layout was not practical: the camera locations could not be cabled together, and there was no suitable place to install a fixed ISP internet connection. With no on-site security office, the design also needed an outdoor home for the equipment.
JG shared the building blueprint with NSI. Before finalizing the layout, NSI asked one practical question: was electrical power available at each light pole? JG confirmed that it was. That detail gave the team a starting point for the design.
The solution
Build the system around the powered light poles.
NSI specified an A+ Guard GuardBox Pro AC+ mounted on a light pole, with a Teltonika industrial 4G LTE router providing the internet connection. The setup uses the available electrical supply and does not depend on a resident sharing their internet service.
Each camera-equipped pole has a UNV IPC-3628SR-ADF28KM-WP 4K Wise-ISP camera and an IP-LOCO5AC-US wireless unit. Ubiquiti airMAX wireless equipment links the camera locations without requiring network cable between them. NSI designed the network and supplied the equipment; JG Security Services completed the installation in December 2025.

What this means for management
See what is happening without a site visit.
Property management can view the cameras remotely to check activity around the community without traveling to the property. The entrance, parking and shared outdoor views give the team more context when residents report a concern.
The system’s own cellular connection makes remote access possible without an on-site security office or a shared internet service.
NSI’s ongoing role
Keep visibility into the wireless connections.
NSI remotely monitors the wireless access-point signals connecting the camera locations. This lets NSI check how the wireless links are performing, while property management uses the camera views to see activity around the community.
